Check out Will's hair! A bad case of bed hair!
Will had another great day. His epi and vasopressin (blood pressure meds.) have been turned off, and now they are weaning his dopamine and milrinone. His ventilator settings are down as well.
Will was wide awake all day today. He liked it whenever Mommy made silly faces at him. His nurse commented that she had never seen a baby respond to his mother (or anyone for that matter) as well as Will does with me. If I am next to him he just stares and stares at me (unless his monitor screen catches his eye). Now that he is more alert, he is starting to look at me like he wants me to hold him. He got very spoiled when I started to hold him all the time. You can't make a baby understand that he has too many lines and tubes coming out of him to be held. Hopefully, it won't be TOO much longer... it's so hard to show restraint, especially when he looks as cute as he did today.

Another good day!!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!
Thanks for sharing this CUTE picture and the sweet account of Will's interest in his mom.
We're praying for continued progress for Will. Also for Will's wonderful Dad who will be in agony when he leaves him to return to work. May you both have peace even tho you are apart for a little while.
    Much love,

That is such a great picture. I don't know how you can stand not being able to just cuddle that little cutie. Neverless, this is such good news and so uplifting to hear of Will's baby steps of progress. God works in His own divine and mysterious way. We thank God for the way He is working in Will's life.

Wishing you a restful night tonight and more happy moments tomorrow.

I am so happy to hear Will is responding in all postive ways.
I will share the news at Highland Park this morning.
May God continue to bless his "baby Will".
    My prayers are with you.

Having seen Will wiggle and squirm until he was catty corner in his bed, first one direction and then the other, it was easy to figure out he was just trying to get his head closer to his mama! But as I said a while back, he probably won't feel any hurry to learn how to walk, as I don't imagine anyone will ever want to put him down, once we are able to pick him up again!

We love you, Will! We will try and keep your dad company until you get home! But we can't be as good at it as you are, so keep up that Iron Will and fly home soon!

    Love, Grandmama
