Tuesday, Valentine's Day
Will is doing great!!
He is almost down to his dry weight. He looks so skinny compared to what he looked like over the weekend! He is off of his epi drip... he is also down on his dosages for his milrinone and morphine drips.
Dr. Bove stopped by earlier and said that he is going to take Will down to the OR later this week to see about closing his chest. While in the OR, Bove will be able to get a better look inside his chest to see what is Will's best option. He will either do a skin closure, which will leave the sternum open, or, Bove will close his chest completely. Bove's biggest concern with closing Will's chest completely is that he will get sick again and require a lot of support.
Will is a brand new baby since the surgery. He looks better than ever. It's so nice to have a pink baby for Valentine's Day!! We are so blessed.

I'm so glad you have a pink baby! I'm so happy for you all...What a nice Valentine's Day gift for the both of you.
Have you had any of my favorite nurses yet?
Russ, Tatum, Leah, Ben and myself have been down with a virus, so if I decide to come up it won't be for awhile. I want to be a healthy so I can give him a hug and the both of you!!!!

What a fabulous Valentine's gift! I'll take one pink Will over a dozen red roses ANY DAY!
It is so wonderful to see an update so early in the day, just as I was pulling it up to show someone here at work who was asking about you all! I am so tickled Will continues to improve! I hope to see our precious pink baby boy soon!!! Prayers for you all, the doctors and nurses, and the other families we visited with while we were up there are going up constantly.
Josh, Steph, sweet Will----I love you all so much!!!!

Will has come a long way since last Thursday when it looked so bad. A great team of doctors, nurses, and technicians with support from family members and a lot of prayers from a host of concerned people have made this turn around possible. Will is a fighter who never gives up. Stephanie and Josh are an inspiration for all of us for their love and support of Will. Stephanie, you deserve a Pulizer Prize for your writing ability that has kept the entire "support team" update during these difficult days, weeks and months. We love you!

Happy Valentines Day to the Burns! We're just thrilled to hear that Will is doing so well. His quest for life is just so amazing! I can't wait to see what he becomes throughout his life. So far he has only been here for 4 months and he's probably the most inspiring person I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Keep up the good work little buddie. We are all so proud of you and your parents. You'll be going home before you know it! Wow, will that be a day that so many of us have waited and prayed for. You and your parents sure deserve the best life has to offer! Go Will go!
Sleep tight little man.
Love, The Lowrie's
