Friday, February 17th

So serious! Will was like this all day today.
Will did great today. The surgeon was able to complete his chest skin closure this evening. Thankfully, Will didn't need a skin graft. He tolerated it just fine! Now, we can work on getting him stable for transfer to Vandy! They will need to remove two chest tubes and pacer wires, as well as wean his ventilator settings and get him off of his pressure meds. There's no way to know for sure how long this will take, but hopefully not any longer than 2 weeks.
I'll keep you posted on his progress!

That's our boy!!! I can't even begin to tell you all the different people who have been asking after Will since we got back from Michigan! So many people are praying for you, Will! At least 15 different clients of mine have called back since we returned to ask how you all are doing and to say they are and will keep on praying for you! If you can feel the number of prayers wrapped around you, I know you are sleeping soundly!

I am so glad you didn't need a skin graft--I was a bit concerned about which teensy little spot would get scalped! We are all so looking forward to you getting back to Nashville so everyone can see you! They are predicting big snow tonight here- we wouldn't want you to miss Michigan, at least for a while, so maybe they will hold a bit of it for you for a while, but don't count on it lasting! It will be back to the South for you, my boy! And no way too soon!

I love you bunches!!!! Sweet dreams, my angel! Tell your mom and dad how much we love them!

    Stephanie & Josh,

You won't believe the conversation I had with Diane & Rod Webb. Dr. Bove and his wife had TGiving dinner at their house (when they still lived in Jackson,TN)a few years back. Mrs. Bove is related to one of Rod's cousins..Pam Jayco (sp?)who is from Jackson! Just thought I'd share that info with you!

I hope Will is having a good day today...and maybe can give you a smile or two! His pictures are so precious - I look forward to each and every one!

We have Michigan weather, the temperature is going to dip down to single digits tonight in Memphis! I guess I am training for Michigan! Brrrrr...

    Love you,
    Mom
