Friday, February 10th
Will did very well last night considering what he's been through.
A few minutes ago, I was sitting at Will's bedside holding his hand, when Dr. Bove came in from behind me and gave me a hug. (This took me aback because to me, it seemed out of character for him to do that.) He asked how we were holding up, and I said that we were hanging in there.
Dr. Bove said that Will was "a tough cookie." He said he hated to continue to use the word "surprisingly," but he never expected to see Will not only make it off the bypass machine, but to have a relatively stable night. Will had his ups and downs, but he did very well considering what he's been through.
They were able to make progress on all of his medicines, except for milrinone because it helps keep the heart from working too hard. They were also able to make headway on his ventilator... rate down from 50 to 46 and oxygen down to 80% from 100%.
Will has been wide awake most of the morning. He seems happy; not in any pain.
What happened to Will last night was nothing short of a miracle. God continues to hear our prayers. Will is truly "God's Will."

Hi, I am Anne Arrington, Brad's Mom, and he has kept me updated on your brave little son's condition. While reading about him, I was reminded of some good friends of ours who had some similar problems with their newborn son many years ago, who was also such a brave and valiant little boy, so much so that it prompted our Minister to comment from the pulput one Sunday how brave and valiant this little boy is. He went on to say that if all our generals on the battlefield had the bravery and determination of this little boy, then all our battles would be won. I know that your son is right there with him. I am praying for all of you, and praying for a miracle from God. I pray God's richest blessings on your son and all of his family. My love and prayers.

I get so excited reading your posts! Wow! It seems God did have His hand in that one! You just never know...you think one minute one way and then GOd steps in. I'm so happy for your little family. "God's Will alright!" Wow, what an amazing come back for Will. Our prayers have been answered and its reason's like this that I have completely given my soul to God. What a miracle. We're so happy for you two and for Will. Thank you dear Lord, thank you! Way to go Bove, you're the man!
